Statewide Potential Mitigation Location Filtering

ECD developed a methodology to analyze, rank and filter vacant silvaculture land on a regional or statewide level to identify potential mitigation bank locations and Regionally Significant Areas.  To date we have completed this analysis for clients in Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi, Michigan and Wisconsin.  ECD applies an interdisciplinary approach in this methodology by combining the latest Geographic Information System (GIS) technology with environmental science principles to provide a product customized to meet the individual needs of our client. This analysis focuses on identifying potential wetland impact locations by determining cities and counties experiencing population growth and roadway infrastructure improvements and comparing them with potential mitigation properties. Potential mitigation sites are selected through automated GIS desktop analysis and aerial photograph analysis and interpretation. Familiarity with state and national data clearinghouses enables ECD to procure the most current data relating to environmental, demographic, and infrastructure necessary for accurate analysis.  ECD has a proven track record of successfully selecting, permitting, and managing mitigation banks and properties throughout the southeastern United States.
